We work with businesses, government agencies, and importers of all sizes to ensure shipments move smoothly, accurately, and on time.

Can I speak to someone first?

Absolutely. Please email us at askconsulting@beyondclearance.com to schedule a complimentary 15 minute consultation.

What's the difference between a complimentary and paid consultation?

A complimentary consultation gives you a quick, high-level overview of our services. It's perfect if you're just starting out, exploring options, or want to understand how we can support your import needs before committing. A paid consultation is a 45-minute deep dive with a certified customs professional—tailored to your specific needs, concerns, and next steps. It's ideal for importers with complex compliance questions, businesses exploring duty drawback or binding rulings, companies handling high shipment volumes, or anyone who wants expert, personalized guidance instead of generic advice.

What happens after I pay?

You'll receive an email confirmation verifying we have received your order. A member of our team will contact you for additional information if necessary to process your request.

Do you support both U.S. and Canada drawback?

Yes. We file CBP Form 7551 in the U.S. and CBSA Form K32 in Canada, with documentation structured for audits.

Why do I need to pay for a Drawback Assessment?

A Drawback Assessment is an upfront review to confirm if you qualify for a refund and how much you could recover. It makes sure the paperwork and strategy are correct before filing, which prevents delays or rejections. Think of it as a safeguard that saves you time and maximizes your return.

How long does manifest confidentiality last?

Two years from approval. We track renewals and handle filings across all U.S. ports.

What is included in your customs clearance service?

We manage the full clearance process—entry processing, ISF filings, PGA coordination, exam coordination, bond management, and post-clearance adjustments.

Do you handle both imports and exports?

Yes. We handle both U.S. imports and exports, including specialized filings like ATA carnets, duty drawback, and free trade agreement eligibility reviews. Our duty drawback program extends to Canadian Drawback opportunities.

Can you clear goods at any port of entry?

Yes. We handle shipments arriving by sea, air, truck, and rail across all U.S. ports of entry.

What is an ISF filing and why is it important?

The Importer Security Filing (ISF), also called “10+2,” is a U.S. Customs requirement for ocean imports. It must be submitted at least 24 hours before the cargo is loaded onto a vessel. Missing this deadline can result in fines, delays, or shipment holds.

Can you handle last-minute ISF filings?

We recommend filing as early as possible, but if the deadline is approaching—or has passed—we can help minimize penalties and ensure your filing is corrected and submitted properly.

Do you work with overseas partners for ISF data?

Yes. We coordinate with shippers, consolidators, and freight forwarders to gather the required information on time.

Do I need a customs bond?

If you’re importing goods into the U.S., you likely need a customs bond—either a single-entry bond for one-time shipments or a continuous bond for ongoing imports.

Can you help me choose the right bond?

Yes. We’ll assess your shipping frequency, cargo value, and compliance needs to recommend the right bond type and amount.

What is a Partner Government Agency (PGA)?

PGAs are agencies other than U.S. Customs that regulate imported goods, such as the FDA, USDA, EPA, or. Some shipments require approvals from both customs and relevant PGAs before entry.

How do you manage PGA requirements?

We identify which agencies apply to your product, prepare and submit the necessary documentation, and coordinate approvals so your shipment clears without delay.

What types of consulting do you offer?

We provide customs compliance assessments, tariff classification, valuation strategy, free trade agreement guidance, audit preparation, licensing advice, and process design.

Can you train our team?

Yes. We offer tailored compliance training for businesses, covering filing requirements, tariff classification, valuation, and internal process development.

Do you work with small businesses and startups?

Absolutely. We scale our services to fit your needs, whether you’re managing your first shipment or hundreds per month.

What industries do you serve?

We work with NVOCCs, freight forwarders, small and large businesses, government agencies, retailers, manufacturers, distributors, and importers at every experience level.
